Chevrolet Aveo comes in at #4 in America’s Least Expensive New Vehicle Rankings…

If it comes to lowest price point, I think it’s a dog fight between the Chevy Aveo and the Nissan Versa, which comes in at #2… Call me old school, but I am still biased by the quality defects Kia, Hyundai and Daewoo had as recently as 10 years ago…

Anyway, here are America’s ten cheapest least expensive new cars for the 2009 model year, courtesy of Automotive News.  All prices include destination charges as of December 2, 2008.

1. Hyundai Accent, $10,665

2. Nissan Versa, $10,685

3. Kia Rio, $12,145

4. Chevrolet Aveo, $12,625

5. Smart ForTwo, $12,635

6. Toyota Yaris, $12,925

7. Suzuki SX4, $13,994

8. Kia Spectra, $14,200

9. Hyundai Elantra, $14,795

10. Pontiac G3, $14,995
